The Highland County Enterprise Initiative is pleased to announce the search for a highly motivated individual to assist new businesses and business expansions in Highland County, Ohio. The position-Enterprise Facilitator- requires applicants with a passion for helping others succeed along with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, private sector/small business ownership or management experience, a positive attitude, resourcefulness, compassion, civic mindedness, and self-motivation. Applicant must be able to work cooperatively with a large community advisory board. This is a contract position and the successful candidate must be willing to relocate to Highland County.

Enterprise Facilitation Coordinator

- 12 mth Contract
The County of Lennox and Addington, with a population of 40,000, is located in
Eastern Ontario between the cities of Belleville and Kingston. With a diverse blend of
rural and urban communities, wonderfully varied tourist attractions, prosperous and
proven agricultural traditions, and spectacular recreational activities, The County’s
exceptional quality of community and family life can’t be beat.
The County of Lennox and Addington is seeking a highly motivated individual to
complement its Economic Development office and take on the role of Enterprise
Facilitator to assist new and expanding business within the County.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with entrepreneurs and small businesses by providing free, confidential, one-on-
one management assistance to entrepreneurs wishing to start or expand their
business
• Work cooperatively with a large community advisory board
• Participate in ongoing training of clients
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience running or owning a business
• Have a passion for helping and listening to others
• Excellent people, communication, writing, reporting and networking skills
• Possess empathy, problem-solving and financial skills
• Be self-motivated, patient, flexible and creative
• Have a positive and caring attitude towards the success of others
• Ability to work independently
• Valid G driver’s license and use of a vehicle is a must
POSITION LOCATION:
• Extensive travel is required across the County to meet with entrepreneurs, while
limited time will be spent working from select office locations
• Mainly working at client locations and at home office
SALARY RANGE:
$25.00 per hour
